M34 highway (Tajikistan)

The M34 is a major highway of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, that connects the Tajik capital Dushanbe with the Uzbek capital Tashkent.

Route description

M34 begins in Dushanbe and leads north to the Anzob Pass where it enters Sughd province. It turns westward to Rabot and northward to Ayni, crossing the Zeravshan River. Traversing the Turkestan Range the road continues to Shakhristan and Istarawshan. It crosses the border into Uzbekistan, back into Tajikistan, and enters finally Uzbekistan south of Khavast.

Leading north M34 passes Yangiyer, Guliston, Baxt, and Sirdaryo. Crossing the river Syr Darya it proceeds to Chinaz and Yangiyo‘l and reaches Tashkent. It also runs through Kante and Kalon.
